How it's made
Excellent working conditions
This product is handmade and 3D printed in Tel-Aviv Israel Palestine by the designer and her two freelance workers. The collaboration is close and every worker gets fair pay. Yoster also works with 2 main suppliers for the casting and plating and and both are family run business.
This product is not treated with chemicals in Yoster’s studio, but for the gold plating which is done by another local studio, there are some use of chemicals. This is only done in a controlled manner where use is kept to a minimum and treated in a controlled manner where no chemicals run out into the agricultural landscape, and everything is stored and disposed in a proper manner. chemicals are kept to a minimum and used in a controlled way
Yoster use 3 different tecniques, the classic disappearing wax technique, the combination of handcraft and technology by 3D printing, and 100% 3D printed products. This process saves a lot of waste.
The casting is mostly done in 925 silver and some with added gemstones
Low Carbon Footprint
This product saves travel miles since Yoster is situated in the center of Tel-Aviv and all suppliers are a 10 min walk away from the studio.
Reducing Waste with Made to Order
This product is not made before it is ordered, and this way, by producing many items on demand Yoster saves the environment from overproduction.
More Waste Reduction
By using 3D printing in their production Yoster saves a lot of waste material. Also by producing on demand with Made to Order all of the rings are made to order and one specific necklace and one specific earrings.
Supporting traditional Skills
Every piece that is not 100% 3D printed is made with traditional goldsmithing techniques. All suppliers are local family run businesses with knowledge within traditional jewelry craftsmanship.
