Description
A deep moisturising gel-based elixir, that creates a lightweight ‘cocoon’ after application. It stimulates collagen production, cell growth, and stops TEWL (transepidermal water loss) and gives your skin optimal hydration. Hydrate Elixir contains a blend of mineral-rich herbal waters, aloe vera juice, and gentle plant actives, that leave the skin feeling silky smooth.
Nordic ingredients like Icelandic Sea Kale, Snow Mushroom, and Swedish Plant Stem Cells of Aloe Vera and Arctic Roseroot balance sebum production, minimise blackheads, and reduce blemishes. RUA also added the elegant mountain flower, Alpine Willowherb and, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs found in Apples) for a mild exfoliation.
Scent : a soft herbaceous essence.

Application
Massage small amount into face and neck.
Use for day or night. Apply as needed.
To use in combination with Soothe Softening Serum:
Place 2-4 drops of Soothe Softening Serum into palm. Add 1 drop of Hydrate Elixir. Rub together in a circular motion. Gently apply to face, neck, and décolletage area.
This combination will create a beautiful glowing ‘cocoon’ that will keep your skin ultra-hydrated all day / all night.

Excellent working conditions
RUE is handcrafted by founder and formulator, Kristina Dunn in small batches in her studio in Oslo. Also in the process of harvesting the organic raw materials, the process is small, controlled and done by hand.
Supporting traditional skills
The organic natural way of taking advantage of nature’s resources in is not something new, and to refine this tradition like RUE does, is a true art. She collaborates with players like the Northern Company and the Norwegian Seaweed Company, who harvest their raw materials by hand along the coast of Norway and Iceland. Kristina then ads new technology and innovation through Plant Stem Cell Extracts cultivated in a bio-greenhouse in Sweden, RUE is merging new with old, but through the process bringing back the slow meaningful way of doing things.
Kristina did not choose the fast way in regards to her own craft either, and is now a two time award winning Organic Cosmetic Scientist, with diplomas in Organic Skincare Formulation, Organic Cosmetic Science, Anti-Aging Skincare, and Beauty Business Management.

Biodegradable and recyclable
The product in itself is 100% free of chemicals and completely biodegradable. The glass bottle made of white opal glass, the PET dropper top with glass pipette are easily broken apart for recycling through your local recycling system as glass and plastic by following the community’s guidelines.

To reduce their C02 footprint, RUE source over 90% of ingredients and packaging from Europe.

RUE makes each product by hand in small batches to make them as fresh as possible. To further reduce waste, the chose a recyclable and considerate packaging with FSC certified paper sources and plant-based waterproof laminate.
